Position: Event Manager, Meetings & Incentives (Full-Time)

Location: San Francisco Bay Area preferred

Travel: ~25% domestic & international – get ready to pack your bags for some epic destinations!

 

 

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and creative Event Manager to join our award-winning team at MFactor Meetings & Events —one of the Bay Area’s top meeting and incentive companies. This full-time role involves full-cycle ownership of meetings and incentive programs ranging from user conferences and sales kickoffs to exclusive incentive trips. You’ll lead everything from strategic planning and vendor negotiation to on-site execution and post-event wrap-ups.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own It: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, no matter the size or complexity
  • Client Partner: Act as the main point of contact for clients and vendors; lead all planning meetings
  • Budget Savvy: Negotiate with venues and suppliers, manage budgets meticulously, and handle reconciliations
  • Creative Vision: Design strategic agendas and impactful event components (e.g., general sessions, evening events, gifting, F&B, and offsite activities)
  • Venue & Vendor Management: Oversee all logistics including space planning, floor plans, technology needs, and safety protocols
  • Project Management: Build and maintain timelines, planning documents, agendas, and specifications
  • Communication: Clearly convey all program needs to internal teams and external partners, ensuring everyone hits their milestones
  • On-Site Execution: Provide confident, detail-oriented leadership during events to ensure flawless delivery
  • Innovate: Proactively suggest process improvements and fresh ideas that elevate client experience and internal workflows

Qualifications & Ideal Experience

  • 3-5 years of event planning experience, with a focus on corporate events and incentives
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong grasp of event strategy and the ability to lead complex planning processes
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and event management tools
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Based in the Bay Area (preferred
  • Love of travel – up to 25% travel to exciting destinations
