Position: Shipping Clerk
Location: Moorpark, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Overview:
Our client, a well-established distribution company, is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their warehouse team. This role will assist with preparing, labeling, and processing outgoing shipments, maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Process outgoing shipments and record data in the system
Use RF scanners, computers, and printers to prepare shipping labels and documents
Inspect outgoing packages for quality and accuracy
Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and loading of shipments
Track and update shipment statuses
Assist with troubleshooting shipping issues as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, shipping software such as UPS Worldship a plus)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks
