Sr Analytical R&D Chemist – Method Development & Implementation

Summary:

As a Senior Analytical R&D Chemist - Method Development & Implementation, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge testing methods that provide accurate nutritional profiles for food products. This position is essential in supporting our mission to revolutionize food data and improve consumer health.

Responsibilities:

• Development of new methods including verification and validation procedures to enhance testing capabilities.
• Conduct analytical testing of food, beverage and/or supplement samples using various techniques including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and spectroscopy.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, CGMP, and GLP standards in all laboratory practices.
• Complete hand off of onboarded methods including training and method transfers.
• Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment and test results to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments and results within laboratory information management systems.
• Generate, maintain and meet project plans and deadlines for internal and external method expansion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development initiatives.

Requirements:

• Doctorate degree in Chemistry (preferred) or related field.
• 5+ years experience in direct method development and implementation in a related industry (food and/or supplement preferred).
• Analytical instrumentation experience with a strong understanding of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of food, beverage and supplement regulations and quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency in wet chemistry techniques and various auxiliary equipment.
• Proficiency in report generation and scientific writing.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
