We serve a diverse market that includes architects, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and industrial clients across PA, NJ, DE, and MD .

We are growing and seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to help us expand our reach, support our customers, and drive new business opportunities.

Position Summary

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business, supporting contractors and specifiers, and promoting Tnemec’s industry-leading coatings in a technical, hands-on sales environment. You’ll spend the majority of your time in the

field—building relationships, solving problems, and helping projects succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Call on painting contractors, general contractors, architects, engineers, and facility owners
• Support and grow existing accounts through job-site visits, technical assistance, and product recommendations
• Generate new business by identifying prospects and conducting proactive outreach
• Conduct hands-on field support including job start-ups, troubleshooting, and site visits
• Lead training sessions and product demonstrations for contractor crews and specifier offices
• Track sales activity, report on opportunities, and manage the territory with independence

 Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in coatings, construction, engineering, or related technical sales preferred
• Experience in high-performance coatings, estimating, or project management is a strong plus 
• Ability to travel frequently within your territory
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Technically curious and mechanically inclined; you enjoy problem-solving in the field
• Self-starter with a entrepreneurial growth mindset and a willingness to get hands-on
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with limited oversight
• Familiarity with using a CRM to communicate with the sales team and track projects and customer communication
