Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter specializing in metal finishing to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience with electrostatic (wet and powder) guns and have experience painting while wearing a respirator equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. - Mix and apply industrial paints, coatings, and finishes according to specifications and project requirements. - Utilize spray guns to achieve consistent and high-quality finishes. - Operate painting equipment, including spray booths and ventilation systems, while adhering to safety protocols. - Inspect finished products for quality assurance, ensuring that surface finishes meet established standards. - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the proper disposal of hazardous materials and chemicals. - Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency. - Comply with all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. - Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and materials to ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or relevant certifications in industrial painting preferred. - Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial painting, with a focus on metal finishing.

- 1 year experience with electrostatic automatic and handheld (HVLP), paint line systems

- 1 year of painting experience while wearing respirator equipment

- Able to read and understand work orders and identify parts

- Follow all safety rules

- Excellent level of drive and dedication to attendance

- Able to switch colors as necessary and clean equipment appropriately

-Understanding of viscosity checks, and wet film build checks

- Understanding of exposed and non-exposed surfaces to be painted

- Ability to work with little supervision and instruction (self-starter)

- Experience painting metal  on a moving conveyor. - Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating types, and application techniques. - Experience with safety regulations related to hazardous materials and painting operations. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills. - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. - Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.

Preferred:

• Able to switch colors as necessary and clean equipment appropriately
• Understanding of viscosity checks, and wet film build checks
• Understanding of exposed and non-exposed surfaces to be painted
• Ability to work with little supervision and instruction (self-starter)
