(Part-Time) Amphibian Husbandry Technician

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for the part-time Amphibian Husbandry Technician position in our Tree Frogs and Toad Department. As a member of this team, you’ll provide care for amphibians at all stages of life — from tadpoles to adults — including feeding and daily maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with the care and raising of captive-bred amphibians, supporting tadpole and adult care routines, and collecting data to help the department continue to grow and improve.

• Part-time 28 per week
• Training Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8 am - 4 pm
• Regular Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8 am - 4 pm
• $16.00/hour Starting Wages

Day-to-day tasks include:

• Help provide care for raising and captive-bred (CBP) amphibians in the Tree Frog and Toad Department.
• Assist with tadpole and adult care as needed.
• Perform daily feeding, maintenance, and observation of raising and CBP tree frogs and toad froglets, ensuring proper care and growth to sellable size and age.
• Collect and record data to establish trends and improve departmental metrics.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and commitment to animal welfare.

For this position, you MUST possess:

• Strong work ethic and motivation to learn new skills
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Prior animal care or husbandry experience is ideal
