THOMAS JEFFERSON SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications for one full-time faculty position, to start in Spring 2026. Strong candidates should have a record of or potential for excellence in residential and online teaching and in academic research or professional writing. Candidates should be ready to contribute substantially to institution-building and governance at a small, independent law school, and to support a dynamic and diverse student body seeking to join the California Bar and to advance access to justice in the state of California.
The Law School is seeking candidates with teaching interests in any first-year or bar-tested subject(s), with a particular (but not exclusive) interest in candidates whose expertise includes Constitutional Laws, Torts, or Professional Responsibility. The open position is a full-time, one-year contract position, with the potential for one-year, three-year and recurring five-year renewals going forward. Faculty hired to this position may have the opportunity to transition to tenure-track status in the future.
