Job Description

BlueGrace is hiring an On-site Transportation Manager for a customer location.

In this role, you will oversee the flow of goods from raw materials to finished products, ensuring efficient, cost-effective transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Success requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transportation Management: Negotiate rates and resolve supply chain issues to ensure timely, cost-effective shipping.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Budget Management: Oversee transportation and warehousing budgets.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
• Fleet Management: Evaluate routes and resource deployment to optimize customer deliveries.
• Inventory Coordination: Partner with the Purchasing Manager to prevent shortages and overstock through effective transportation planning.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with logistics software and systems
• Understanding of transportation modes and logistics regulations
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred but not required
