Job Title: Construction Sales Associate

Company: TomCo Solutions – Building Homes. Building Community.

Location: Tampa, FL (On-site/Field Work with Remote Flexibility)

Compensation: Salary + Commission; projected total earnings potential ranging from $70,000 to $120,000 annually, based on performance

This role is ideal for a sales professional with a strong track record of achieving goals and expertise in construction takeoffs, field measurements, multiple styles, and accurate estimate preparation.

You will play a vital role in helping clients bring their visions to life—whether it’s new builds, additions, ADUs, or renovations. From the first client meeting to preparing a clear, competitive estimate, you will be the bridge between the homeowner’s dream and our construction team’s execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Sales Development: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in residential and light commercial construction.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, helping them navigate design options, project scope, and budget.
  • Estimating & Takeoffs: Conduct site visits, perform accurate measurements, and complete detailed takeoffs. Prepare written estimates for new builds, additions, ADUs, and renovations using tools like Xactimate and BuilderTrend.
  • Sales Performance: Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals, tracking leads, conversions, and revenue performance.
  • Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline to ensure continuous growth.
  • Project Transition: Seamlessly hand off sold projects to the construction team, ensuring a smooth client experience.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage TomCo’s advanced software to support sales, takeoffs, and estimate accuracy.
  • Networking & Brand Advocacy: Represent TomCo at events and within the community to expand reach and build trust.
Qualifications
  • Sales & Estimation Experience: Minimum of 3 years in construction sales or related field, with proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in performing takeoffs, field measurements, and preparing estimates across multiple project types and design styles.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Xactimate, BuilderTrend, or similar platforms.
  • Communication & Negotiation Skills: Strong interpersonal ability to explain project estimates, build client trust, and negotiate effectively.
  • Construction Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and costs related to new builds, additions, ADUs, and renovations.
  • Motivated & Results-Driven: Self-starter with a passion for hitting sales goals and earning through performance.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; mileage reimbursement or company vehicle provided depending on role.
