As a Certified CS/SPD Technician, you will play a key role in how our operating rooms care for our patients as a whole team relies on you to successfully set up the operating room. Certified CS/SPD Technicians receive ample support, training and education, including learning how to operate the latest, state-of-the-art processing equipment and using the newest sterilization tools and concepts. This is a respectful, fair and innovative team that creates a sense of belonging and engagement, and they are eager to welcome a Certified CS/SPD Technician to their team. **_Please note: while we do hire non-certified technicians, this particular opening does require you are currently certified as a sterile processing technician._** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Be responsible for the safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments, equipment distribution and case care management. + Perform case pull functions. + Determine appropriate case carts to be built for specialty procedures. + Dispatch case carts to ensure they are available for surgical/clinical procedures. + Perform recordkeeping functions, such as processing, sterilization, quality assurance and more. + Order and stock supplies. + Maintain adequate levels and inventory of supplies. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High school diploma or GED. + Sterile processing distribution certification (CRCST) by IAHCSMM/HSPA or CBSPD. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience in central service/sterile processing areas. + Successful completion of a recognized training program with certification in central service/sterile processing. Click the link and see how we're dedicated to providing what matters most to you: **Physical Requirements:** + Lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $20.00 Maximum hourly: $28.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
