Job Description

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a BMC Helix Administrator on a Direct Hire basis. This role is based out of Orlando, FL.

Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and platforms within a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment. This role will focus on the design, configuration, maintenance, and improvement of ITSM tools (BMC Helix) while helping to optimize service delivery, performance, and compliance across key ITIL-based practices. Collaboration across infrastructure, development, and business teams is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, operation, and evolution of ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration, and Service Catalog.
  • Configure and maintain the BMC Helix platform (including ITSM suite, DWPC, Dashboards, iPaaS, and Discovery) under the direction of senior engineers.
  • Collaborate across IT and business functions to implement service-centric improvements and communicate status and progress of incidents.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and patching of the BMC Helix ITSM platform.
  • Analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements for services, systems, and processes.
  • Support adoption of ITSM tools through user onboarding, training, and process documentation.
  • Develop tool requirements and facilitate implementation of automation and process improvements.
  • Monitor tool and process compliance, and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of upgrades and major changes to the ITSM toolset.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience working with the BMC Helix application suite, including ITSM, DWPC, Dashboards, iPaaS, and Discovery.
  • Strong experience in administering out-of-the-box Helix applications and developing enhancements.
  • Deep understanding of ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Level, and Knowledge Management.
  • Hands-on experience with Digital Workplace Advanced and ITIL-based service management platforms.
  • Familiarity with process automation strategies, reporting tools (Helix Dashboards), and system integration practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • The following would be preferred: ITIL Certification, experience with REST API/WSDL development, CMDB population via third-party sources, and development using BMC Atrium Integrator or BMC Helix Innovation Suite.
